GORDY HOWE
Gordy is a very solid and soulful player raised in a
musical family and he carries that family
philosophy into the band. His mission is to carry the
message of love to the world through our music and
performances. Gordy also plays guitar, keyboards,
and does back up vocals. Besides playing in the
band, Gordy is our secret weapon as he is
responsible for the sound we have been achieving,
not only on stage, but as our recording engineer.
Nobody else could put the commitment and passion
into capturing our sound as Gordy does. What he
knows already could fill a library, but he just keeps
searching and learning to help us produce the best
product possible, and in the process developing the
best set of ears around !

CHRIS FASSBENDER
Chris is a blues drummer from Boston, Mass.  A
graduate from Berklee College of Music.  His life
ranges from hanging out in blues clubs on the East
Coast and Chicago, to traveling in a large blues
ensemble.  This guy knows the blues.  Wherever he
goes and whatever he does he knows how to throw
it down and slam; be it traditional or modern blues.
Chris has shared the stage with everybody from the
Three Dog Night, Blue Oyster Cult, Mitch Woods,
William Clark, Teddy Morgan, and more.  Opening up
for and hanging out with The Fabulous
Thunderbirds, Jan James, B. B. King, The Kinsy
Report, etc.  His musical experiences go well
beyond that of the blues idiom, just ask him, he’s got
plenty of stories.  However, blues is where he calls
home.  Just to shake things up, he is currently
serving on the Urban Institute of Contemporary Arts
Music committee.
Since moving to Grand Rapids in 1995, he has been
a part of Junior Valentine and the Allstars, James
Reeser,  The Jimmie Stagger Band, and now Weezil
Malone. When you hear him, you will surely enjoy his
drumming.

L."WEEZIL MALONE" FITZGERALD
"With a voice that recalls Magic Dick of the J. Geils
Band or Rick Estrin of Little Charlie & the Nightcats,
Malone presides over an instrumental mix which
includes his stinging guitar as well as a keyboard
and organ adding heat to a solid rhythm section."
Mark Smith-West Michigan Blues Society.
"You have a lot of personality in your music and are
a real talent as a songwriter..." Bruce Iglauer-
Alligator Records
Playing and singing with real gut feelings and a
sense of sharing gives Weez an extra bond with an
audience. He has that special something that allows
him to reach into and grab his feelings from within
and than send them out to the crowd through his
guitar and vocals. A humble, but not shy person,
makes him likable and believable as he sings stories
about his colorful past, current life experiences, and
stories of those around him.
"Life is to be shared, that's what love is", and Weez
is not afraid to share it. He has brought his
philosophy to the band and they have all adopted
it..........PEACE IN THE BLUES.

MIKE HOWE; GUITARS
Mike "Blue Dog" Howe has been playing music for
40 + years, Rock and Roll, Country and blues. Mike
joined Weezil in 2007. Weezil refers to Mike as "the
missing ingredient"  the band has been searching
for. Mike playing adds excitement and,Weezil adds,
“ makes my songs sound like they do in my head
when I write them. It is unreal how he comes up
with the sound of the other guitar that was in my
head when I started developing a song. Having that
other guitar creates a wall that is to be reckoned
with and will create a whole new wave of fans for
the band called Weezil Malone”. Mike is also a song
writer. His only hobby is golf.
